Hi Fi enthusiasts love high-end interconnects. For sure a 1000$ cable looks great! And yes, using high capacitance cables to connect a MM phono system to a preamplifier will have an impact on the sound! But what about the impact on normal line level signals? There is a nice thread at diyaudio.com comparing different interconnection materials. But not the usual copper, silver, gold stuff. Even better: bananas (yes real bananas!), potatoes, mud and different fluids. I’m not sure, if somebody tried energy drinks. Looks like a lot of people having fun!
